Riona had seized the opportunity to relax as well, sprawled out rather unceremoniously on the bed. Certainly not a queenly pose or somesuch, but in that moment she barely cared. Diving back into Fereldan court life proved more difficult than she had anticipated, but she finally was getting the hang of things again. Of course, court life as a noble man's daughter and life as a queen were two completely different things, and sometimes it was a wonder she had time to breathe, let alone anything else.

And ugh, the dresses. She had not missed those.

But all of that seemed insignificant when she looked up at the man beside her. The one she tossed herself back into the fray for, so she could remain at his side and help him. As he laid next to her and cuddled, she smiled brightly and snuggled up right against him. "A queen never waits. She is always precisely on time." It was something she pictured one of their advisors saying, anyway, but as soon as she said it she laughed at the ridiculousness of it. "I apologize, that was a bad one."

She peeked up at him. "Do my eyes deceive me, or is my husband here, alone, with me? And I don't hear Eamon or anyone else's squawking, so no one is looking for you?" All asked teasingly, but she was also serious at the same time. She half-expected he would only have a few moments before he had to be off somewhere else, but she dared to hope.

It was a bad one, but he laughed all the same. It's not like his sense of humor was any better half the time, and those terrible jokes may or may not have been one of the main reasons he had fallen for her to begin with.

"Shh, don't say it too loud or they might find something to squawk about." He teased - half teased really because there was a small, real chance they might hear them in here and find something for them to do. There was always something to be done when you ruled an entire kingdom, you know.

He curled his arm around her, pulling her up against his chest as he dipped his head down and kissed the top of her head, "We may only have a few minutes to ourselves, so we should take advantage of our quiet time." And make it slightly less quiet? Eh. EHHHHH??

And like wise, his masterful dual-wielding of sarcasm and snark won her over, along with his kind-heartedness and loyalty. She appreciated his laughing along with it, even as awful as it was. She loved to indulge his jokes as well, even when half the time she wanted to slap her forehead.

Every part of her body warmed at his suggestion. Her fingers toyed with his shirt, the tips dipping under and tracing along his skin when they could find openings. These moments were scare and he was right; they needed to take advantage of it. Still, she couldn't help but be a little coy. "Oh? And just what would you suggest? Nothing that would disrupt this quiet too much, I hope?" As straight-faced as she tried to be, a smile broke through. She pressed a kiss against his neck to hide her smile.

Alistair makes absolutely no attempt to hide his own smirk, his lips curved at the corners in a doofy grin. And despite he himself being the one that even guided them down this particular path, the tips of his ears are beginning to tint with pink, as well as the apples of his cheeks. That's endearing too, right?

"Not too loud, of course, we don't want them rushing in to check and see if something is wrong." He says jovially, his own hands sliding down along the curve of her hips, gripping softly. A shiver runs up his spine to both the wandering hands under his shirt and the soft, wet lips on his neck. Maker, the things she does to him before they even really do anything, "But I don't want to be silent either. I want to hear some of those noises you make again, you know the ones." Now he's definitely blushing. Dirty talk is hard.

The blushing and pink ears are still adorable, no worries there. It widens her smile to see it as she peers up at him, and she has to resist the urge to point them out. For all she loves to tease him, she knows it flusters him at times, and she doesn't want to ruin the mood as he's doing quite a good job at building it up. Despite his perceived difficulty, his dirty talk is quite effective, given the jolt of pleasure it shoots through her, perceptible only by the slight shiver that trembles her body.

"Those noises I make? Hmm, I'm afraid you may have to remind me of what they were, love." Her eyes glint in mischief as she scoots herself up, her gaze level with his. "You know how my memory is..."

She slowly begins undoing his shirt to expose more of his chest. Once more free, her fingers continue to dance along his exposed chest and up around his neck. She sighs softly as he feels his hands on her hips, wishing the pesky fabric of her dress weren't in the way.
