[Oh, she's in for it now. Luckily she's at least in a bed and mostly patched up. However, it's still clear that she got the snot beaten out of her. She sports a large wound around her waist, where someone tried to scramble her internal organs. It's sewed up and bandaged, but blood still seeped through a bit.
When Anders charges in, she tries to sit up a little and looks less... pathetic.]
[Slowly, his healing kicked in, the skin stitching together as though it had never been separated, but instead of the usual instantaneous-fix he could offer at full-power, this was practically crawling. He tried to distract her from any possible discomfort with a joke.]
Aren't you warriors supposed to have armor for that sort of thing?
[At his question, she merely points to what looks like a pile of scrap metal in the corner of the med bay. Her armor, or what's left of it, is nothing more than some charred pieces of silverite.]
Armor doesn't take to those phaser shots very well.
[His wince holds sympathy as he looks to see her poor armor.]
Well, it kept you alive and that's what ultimately matters.
[He could fix mortal wounds, but he couldn't fix death.
Tendrils of light blue healing magic reach to her and wrap around her like soothingly cool ribbons and work on stitching Riona back together. It wouldn't be a perfect job, much of Anders' mana had gone to trying to defend the Twins and then to the invading raiders, but it would be enough to put her gingerly back on her feet.]
As your healer, I'm going to have to ask that you stop going into fights without proper healing abilities backing you up. You're simply a wreck without them.
[He's joking, but he hopes it gets a smile out of her.]
Be careful what you wish for, there's two Hawkes, I wouldn't put it past this place to start bringing in more doubles.
Perhaps the other me wouldn't be as charming or, who knows, might be a blood mage.
[Slowly, his magic faded and the soft blue light died out.]
Don't do anything strenuous, it'll still be tender a while and you could hurt yourself doing too much too soon. That said, I deem you 'in one piece' which is an improvement.

Sharp, pointy objects happened. To my gut.

Well, find me another you or something and I'll be dandy.

Yes sir. Beverly has me on bed rest so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Now, if you'll excuse me, Commander, I have a Hawke to track down and heal.
[He'd specify by saying 'the one that isn't mine' but, really, they were both his as long as he was the only Anders in the fleet.]
